The government is today, on World Aids Day, accused of double standards for permitting the deportation of people diagnosed in the UK with HIV to countries where they may not get the drugs they need to stay alive.
The UK has strongly supported the G8 pledge to get treatment to all people who need it in poor countries, and yet it is sending back people who have discovered they have HIV and been put on drugs while in the UK, to places where they have little hope of continuing their medication.
Is it the ONLY reason for deportation or have the people did other things that put there stay in the Great Britain at risk?
Should these people be allowed to stay when their visa or college passport expired just because of their health issues and if so what about other health issues besides HIV or AIDS has caused people to do without health care like TB?
What about the cost of treating people who are not citizens of Great Britain why should Great Britain be stuck with the bill?
One more thing illness doesn't have civil rights.
