Coca-Cola shareholders urged to accept takeover

The chief executive of brewer Lion Nathan has called on Coca-Cola Amatil shareholders to accept its $8 billion takeover offer.

Rob Murray says the merger proposal would create Australia's largest diversified beverages company.

Yesterday Coca-Cola Amatil said the proposal was inadequate.
