A wealthy Chinese businessman has pledged to rescue community television station Access 31.
The station was forced to close earlier this month after Perth architect Gary Baverstock withdrew his last-minute offer to save the station, which had been suffering financially for some time.
Staff and viewers were confronted with a 'Rest in Peace' style announcement on screen on August 6, signalling the closure.
Ma Xi Bo, owner of Perth Chinese Radio and the Oriental Post, has offered a substantial amount to get the station back on air.
