The Victorian Government is cracking down on the illegal practice known as "upskirting".
There have been a spate of incidents in Melbourne of people caught filming and photographing underneath women's skirts and dresses, including at this year's Australian Open tennis championships.
'Upskirting' is already covered by laws against stalking and unauthorised intimate filming, but the Government is tightening the legislation to make it a specific offence.
New laws are also being drafted making it illegal to distribute the images through email or mobile phone messaging.
